Our location in the tranquil 254ha grounds of the Kinloch Club Golf Resort, set on the shores of Lake Taupo, is a magnificent natural setting ideal for group activities. Our renowned 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, recently selected as number 1 in New Zealand by PGA Golf Professionals, is available for private tournaments including on-course sponsorship for day events.

  • Golf Pro Workshop – get taught the basics of golf by our golf professional in a fun and relaxed team session
  • Big hitters challenge – compete in teams in our tee practice area to see who has the longest combined range of shots
  • 9 hole dash – the stopwatch is counting down as teams try to complete as many holes as they can, with the least amount of shots, in a set time frame - option to use electric cars or to walk
  • Just like the Pro – Who can rise to the challenge of our 18-hole lakeside link course designed personally by the ultimate golfing professional, Jack Nicklaus – set your targets and host a group golf tournament that will engage and motivate the best out of your people

Non-golf activities:
  • 'Raising the Bar' - Professionals will guide your teams through tutored tastings that reveal the difference between single and blended whiskies, expose how different waters affect vodka, explore the noble grape vintages then enshrine champagne as the world's top celebratory choice. Share the mixologists tricks to create cocktails, and bond with the finer points of a sommelier and how best to judge and smoke cigars.
  • Kitchen forage - our talented executive chef will talk through our Estate to Plate philosophy, showcasing a range of seasonal organic ingredients used in our kitchen, and demonstrate the creativity required to turn out high quality dishes available in our restaurant. Teams then compete against each other to produce their own quality dish using wild produce and ingredients they personally forage for inside and outside the kitchen.
  • Wilderness - Experience a day off site at our nearby sister lodge, Treetops Lodge and Estate. A 2500 ha wilderness estate and carefully managed eco experience. Surrounded by New Zealand’s ancient native forest, you’ll also enjoy modern technology in the Executive Boardroom that can host up to 24 guests.
